Flood disaster relief effort in India

Pastor Sh, our National Director in India, and her team have been helping people affected by the terrible floods in the Punjab. Below is her report:

“My husband and our co-pastor VT and pastor P went to survey a village in Ferozepur area of Punjab. There is water everywhere. Many villages are completely submerged due to the flood. Some pastors called us because they had neither food to eat nor clean water to drink. They lost everything in the flood.

“We were very sad to see this and we immediately decided to go there and serve. When we reached, many pastors’ families and many believers’ families were in very difficult situation. We went to village Kundra Hither and Pind Hazara Singh Wala, which are on the border, and distributed ration to 60 pastors and believers. When the food reached their hands, smiles came on their faces again. They became very happy and started thanking God.

“However, many people still stayed there because we did not have the arrangements to fulfill their complete needs. But we prayed with each family and assured them that our Lord will make arrangements for them too.

“The people there are in great need of medicines, mosquito repellents and candles today. Since the flood has crippled the place, we are confident that the same Lord who has helped us so far will arrange these things for them as well.

“We thank you brother, because of your prayers and support we were able to do so much and we were able to go among those people and help them, may God bless you and your ministry a lot in the name of Jesus Christ.”
